Allegro For One

It’s now four months (right?) into Quarantine. At this point, I’ve written a full screenplay, I’ve ate a ton of mac and cheese, watched a lot of reality television and overall remained as healthy as I possibly can. As much as think that this is the best time to create, it’s also the worst. The world is not right, our schedules are in flux, our everyday life is in crisis. When prompted to enter a two-minute short film competition for Women In Film, I jumped at the chance and leaned in fully. I didn’t really have an idea but I just knew it had to involve Dancing.

Dancing was always something that made me undeniably smile. Moving releases something in me, like it does most people. ALLEGRO FOR ONE was a week’s long effort in dancing, uploading, editing and repeat. The narrative was created by doing and I got lucky at a few shots with my cats. It sparked some creativity in me for the first time in months, and it was a true joy making this little short. Please enjoy! Under JUNK DRAWER page.
